I do hate the idea of getting out of bed right now. [ They'll cuddle in the shower too but this is really nice right now. ] Maybe in a minute we'll get up together.

[ Nicky lets out a huff of laughter, because it's very hopeful to think that they'll get up again after they've been cuddling like this. ] Maybe. [ He echoes that word, curling even tighter with Joe into his warmth, making a small noise of pleasure for how good it feels.

His eyes are already fluttering, though he knows if he falls asleep like this, he will pay for it. ]

I think we should bring up the vacation at breakfast.

We can do that. [ Everyone will be understanding, Joe imagines. Andy's never held them back before. He nuzzles his temple gently. ] How long do you want to go?

[ Joe would like a month. That should give them time to be idiots in love and work through the complicated emotions left from being tortured by medical science and betrayed by a close friend. ]

[ He doesn't want to go for too short that it doesn't feel like enough, but also too long and he might be tempted not to come back. ] Four to eight weeks? [ No more than two months, or he'll be tempted to just run away with Joe and not return for a half century. ]

[ It's happened before.

He absently strokes the back of Joe's hair, fingers twining with the curls, thinking about how nice it could be. ] Maybe we could lay some groundwork to return in a decade or so.

Hm, about what I was thinking. [ Two months would be a lot since they should still help train Nile. ] No one should be against that.

[ He makes a happy sound as Nicky plays with his hair. There's a sensation he loves. ] Next you're going to tell me we should just buy a house.

[ Owning property when you're immortal is so tricky. It gives Joe a headache. ]

No buying houses, but establishing identities, scoping out what we can rent.

[ It would be very nice if they could start making a place for themselves and their new identities. Yes, owning something is good, too, but then you have to pass it to your own kin, who is you, and that gets messy.

He keeps twining his fingers in his hair, tugging him in for a kiss. ]Maybe I should fetch coffee in the morning to soften Andy's mind?

I bet our new friend could make us identities.

[ That would normally be Booker's job but... they'll have to trust Copley instead which Joe isn't sold on either. They can find the property and Copley can make them the identities to rent it. ]

Mm, make her favorite breakfast too. [ He leans into the kiss, gently sliding his tongue along his lips. ] She can't say no then.

[ It would be nice, too, if they were going to settle at some point, if they could establish themselves as a married couple. Nicky hates when they find a place to live and end up having to play at very good friends.

Nicky yanks Joe on top of him, rolling onto his back, humming into the kiss as he slides his knee between Joe's legs. ]

I should start to clean up, if I'm going to do all this tomorrow.

As long as we're married. [ He's reading Nicky's mind. Or Nicky's reading his. ] The 'friends on vacation' is annoying when I want to kiss you constantly.

[ Speaking of kissing, they should do more of that. Joe kisses him over and over while he settles his weight on top of him. ]

You know what name I really like? [ He grins as he looks over his shoulder, on his way to the bathroom. ] Nicky Al-Kaysani. I think it has a real ring to it.

[ Maybe he could dig out his actual rings, too. ]

We should have everything we need, so long as she hasn't drank it already.

Please, Nicolo Al-Kaysani. [ It's rare they use their actual names and actual identities but it's been a few hundred years. They should be able to do it.

Joe takes a moment to admire Nicky as he walks. That ass is perfection. Not even the statue of David could match it's splendor. So he reaches out and gives it a playful smack. ] I demand wedding rings.

Hopefully she hasn't. You know she never uses enough sugar. [ He's very picky about Turkish coffee. ]

[ Nicky actually shivers for the way that sounds. He's not sure he's ever heard the two put together, but it sounds better than thinking about it. He stops at the smack, but not to protest. Instead, to wrap both arms around Joe's neck and tug him in for a kiss so he can march them to the shower together, speaking in between kisses. ]

I will find the rings, I think they were in a safe near here.

[ He delights in the kisses, giving a needy sound as he claws at the bathroom doorknob, giving Joe a nudge inside. ]

I know, and I know you are as bitter as the coffe about it.

[ Joe stumbles a little and crashes into Nicky but he's delighted by the whole thing. He wraps an arm around Nicky's waist to steady himself. ]

If you can't find them I'll propose again. Our vacation spot can be our honeymoon. [ Why not get married again? Why not honeymoon again? He's just as much in love as the first time so why not do it again? ]

Coffee is scared. Don't you dare tell me otherwise. [ He reaches back to turn on the shower. ]

[ Nicky makes sure to lock the bathroom door so no one can sneak in and disturb them, because it would be very bad if their private time was cut short. He shifts and perches on the edge of the tub as he considers Joe. ]

Maybe it would not be so bad to have new rings anyway.

[ And not just because he'll never say no to another proposal from Joe. ] And I know. I know you have very strong opinions on coffee. [ Which Nicky shares, so he can't really speak. ]

[ It's a miracle Andy hasn't come to pound on their door and tell them to shut up. ]

If you want a new ring say the word and I'll find you a new one. [ He does like the look of some high fashion men's engagement rings. ]
