If there is one thing Joe likes it's making Nicky happy, so the slow-growing grin on Nicky's face is met with a fond smile. "This is going to be a very intense workout habibi," he says, sounding amused though his eyes are dark and eager.

He's agreeing, obviously, checking that the weights and Nicky are correctly positioned, and actually taking off his T-shirt before he settles in the machine, smirking a little. "How many reps do you want me to do?" He could manage a few, but Nicolo's weight will get tricky to lift after a while. Still, he's willing to struggle with it for as long as it takes to satisfy his lover.

"I should hope so, I'm not the kind of man who's only half-intense," is his guarantee, his eyes fixed on Joe with delight. He lets out a surprised noise when Joe strips his shirt, though, feeling the upper hand slipping away from him when he suddenly forgets how to speak.

Still, he cannot complain, laughing with delight for Joe's brazen teasing. "I would hate for you to strain anything, so be careful," he does warn. "If it hurts, you stop."

They're definitely a show now, given that people have their phones out now and all.

"Yes, I've noticed that about you," Joe answers, arching his eyebrows. He likes it, frankly, just how intense Nicky gets. He grins at the noise of surprise Nicolo makes, looking pleased that he can still elicit such a response.

"Okay," he agrees, considering it. He knows how much Nicky weights, roughly, and how much he can lift, so it's an easy decision. "I'll do ten." He could probably do more, but he doesn't want to hurt himself. He keeps his eyes on Nicky, ignoring the people filming, smiling as he takes a deep breath and begins.

Nicky is quite heavy to lift like this so Joe goes slow, pulling hard, the muscles in his arms and chest straining with the effort. He lifts until Nicky goes all the way up and brings him down just as slowly, a show of control. And then again, and again, and again. There is something hypnotic about it, Joe's breathing going sharp and ragged, sweat shining on his chest.

Nicky is breathless, but it's not because of any work that he's doing. Joe has completely taken his breath away in the most incredible of ways, being so effortlessly charming and handsome and talented and, well, sweaty. You cannot forget the sweaty.

He's counting, mouthing the words, waiting until he'll have the full permission he needs to dart in and kiss Joe for his reward, even though he truthfully would like to mouth all of Joe's sweaty muscles in reward instead of stopping at the mouth.

"Such a good job," he praises, at nine. "Finish up, my handsome, strong man."

Joe keeps his eyes on Nicky, watching the way his lips part and his eyes darken, a flush appearing on his sharp cheekbones. That alone is well-worth the effort and Joe smiles, trying to take deep breaths. He counts along with Nicky, groaning quietly as he gets to nine, his muscles beginning to grow sore.

He can do just one more, especially when Nicky is praising him so freely, with that intent look on his face that Joe has come to associate with Nicky wanting to kiss him. He nods and does one more, slow and controlled, lifting Nicky all the way up and then bringing him down before he lets go of the handles, his chest rising and falling quickly as he pants. "There," he says, proudly, and gives Nicky a sunny grin.

Nicky is very careful to make sure he gets his feet on the ground, but he's not so careful in the way he surges forward to grab Joe's neck with both hands cupping it, pulling him in to kiss him fiercely, wanting very much to reward him for such a valiant, heroic, sexy effort.

"I don't think I've ever been so impressed in my life," he says bluntly.

He's also never been so turned-on, but that's not something he plans to share with the whole gym. As it is, he's just grateful that his baggy shirt is hiding his growing arousal.

Joe welcomes the embrace, leaning up so he can kiss back, both his hands coming to rest on Nicky's waist. He's still panting, feeling very hot and a little sore. That doesn't stop him from nipping on Nicky's lower lip and holding him tight.

"Happy to help," Joe teases, though the look on Nicky's face, dark and hungry, is making him sweat for an entirely different reason. He strokes up Nicky's chest slowly, resting his hands on his shoulders. "You want to go home, tesoro?" he offers, his voice low and pleased.

Thankfully, Joe's gym isn't far away from his flat, so it'll only be a few minutes.

Nicky swallows, but it does nothing to satiate the dryness in his mouth. He suspects he knows why, and it's because a bottle of water will do nothing for this thirst.

"I think it would be better to shower in private," he agrees, his eyes half-lidded as he tucks his chin into his chest to watch the progress of Joe's very clever fingers. His breathing is ragged and rough, yet so utterly entranced.

"Are you all done, then?" he manages to restrain himself from being too hungry. "No other exercises to do, other parts of your body to focus on?"

"Even better if we shower together," Joe points out, arching his eyebrows. He grins as he looks down, watching his own fingers on Nicky's chest, the way his boyfriend is panting despite not having exercised for a while.

"I am all done here," Joe confirms, his eyes dark. "Willing to exercise some more and focus on other parts of the body at home." He waggles his eyebrows playfully, just a little, and he knows Nicky will catch his drift. He stands up, grabbing his shirt, his towel and his bag, wiping at his sweaty skin. "And you, are you all done?"

Nicky inhales sharply, his grin a fiendish thing. "We should be very good to the environment, yes," he agrees, like it's a responsible thing and not that he wants to run soapy wet fingers all over Joe's sweaty chest, with those impressive muscles he's just seen on display.

He touches the tip of his tongue to his front teeth and exhales, shaky and slow, eyes dipping to Joe's ass, and has to force himself to move. "Let me grab my things and I'll meet you at the front. Your place?"

"The planet is dying, Nicky," Joe says very seriously, though there is a naughty glint to his eyes too. He's very much looking forward to pushing Nicolo against the shower wall and kissing him until they are both breathless with want.

"That works," Joe says, putting his shirt back on and shoving the rest of his things into his bag. He turns around just in time to see Nicky look at his ass, smirking. "My place," he confirms, leaning in to kiss Nicky's cheek before he saunters away.

Nicky lifts his eyes long enough to enjoy that kiss, but then he's right back to staring at Joe's ass. If he didn't want Nicky looking, he wouldn't be walking in front of him like that, he reasons.

He tightens his grip on his bag and follows after him, a little winded and mood still a little sour from the conversation with his friends. "I think maybe if you did that around my friends, we'd win a lot of them over," he admits, though maybe it would make them think Nicky only wants Joe for his body, and that's not true.

Be his guest, Nicky, Joe is more than happy to have you stare longingly at his ass. His trousers are tight and he's been doing a lot of squats, he knows it looks good.

Stepping out of the gym, Joe turns around to hold out his hand for Nicky, leading the way. "You think so? You invite them over for drinks and here I am, fresh from the gym, not wearing a shirt?" he teases, stroking his thumb over Nicky's knuckles. "I think that only works so well on you, habibi."

Nicky keeps just a step behind, but he's not staring at Joe's ass anymore. He's slung an arm around his waist to hold on loosely as they go, his smile tender-soft as he stares at Joe, thinking that he completely doesn't know his own attractiveness.

"I don't know," he warns, "I think I would have to jealously guard you if you did this. Then everyone would know what an amazing thing I have."

Joe puts his own hand over Nicky's on his waist, looking back at him as he makes his way towards his flat. The smile Nicky is giving him is making Joe's entire chest feel warm and loved, and he has to push himself to keep walking and not just stop and kiss Nicky right there in the middle of the sidewalk.

"You don't have to jealously guard me," Joe replies, smiling soft and bright. "I can't be stolen away, I'm too happy to be where I am." He waggles his eyebrows playfully. "So your friends can look, but they can't touch." Only Nicky's touch is encouraged, obviously.

"Well, in that case, then I think we should immediately arrange a trip to some sort of sauna or beach where you'll have your shirt off the whole time." There's no better way to show off his new boyfriend than to flaunt just how handsome he is and how well in shape he keeps.

Not that it'll be a secret when his next book comes out and Joe's artwork adorns the cover and shows off such magnificence. "What if I want to jealously guard you a little? Shouldn't I be allowed?"

Joe's answering grin is very bright. "Only if you wear very tight shorts in return, habibi," he teases, amused by Nicky's insistence that Joe's naked chest will drive people wild. If Joe has to be shirtless for Nicky's enjoyment, the least Nicky can do is to repeatedly sidetrack Joe just by walking around with his perfect ass on display.

"In that case, by all means," Joe agrees, easily. "What would your jealous guarding entail, just so I can be ready for it?"

Nicky tips his head to the side, considering it even as his brain mulls over why anyone would want that. "Well," he says, very thoughtfully, "if a pair of shorts from you happened to turn up on my bed, I'm sure I would have to wear them. It would be rude to refuse a gift."

He imagines that he might like a comfortable pair of shorts to cook in, but he says nothing more on that topic.

He inhales as he contemplates what he would do. "Well," he begins, "I think there would be a lot of staring. There would also be kissing. Very possessive kissing, so everyone understood who you belonged to."

Joe makes a little 'uh' noise at the idea, definitely considering the idea. He could go and buy shorts for Nicky. Short and tight but comfortable, in a color that goes well with his complexion. Joe's got this. "Then I will," he agrees, grinning in advance. This is going to be a very nice sight to stumble upon.

"So, just what you usually do?" Joe teases, pushing the door of his building open and holding it for Nicky. "I'm not hearing anything out of the ordinary, here."

"Good, my short collection is severely lacking," he says, keeping a straight face even as he says, "My last boyfriend didn't even leave me with a good choice."

He leans a little into Joe's body as they move into the building, careful not to take up too much space. "I don't think my kissing is possessive," he protests, and when they're inside, he gently pushes Joe up against the wall to kiss him, slow and soft and sweet and drawn out.

There's nothing rushed or firm or possessive about this kiss at all.

"Then I'll have to do better," Joe states, seriously. He's not a very competitive man on the whole, but he does feels like he should be better than any of Nicky's ex-boyfriends, always. And buying short shorts while picturing how Nicky will look in them is no ordeal.

"Only sometimes," Joe answers, his face earnest. "I like it." But then Nicky is pushing him up against the wall and kissing him so softly it makes Joe feel warm all over. He smiles into it, his hands on Nicky's hips, kissing him back just as tenderly. "I like this, too."

"Start with something nice and deep," he insists, still leaning in for another kiss while he's here. "I wouldn't mind a jewel toned pair of shorts. Or maybe just bright orange." It would certainly get people to notice him, he knows that.

He inhales deeply and leans in for another slow kiss, grinning against Joe's lips. "It would be very possessive in front of friends, both so they understood you're mine, but also to punish them for doubting us."

"I was thinking more blue or green, to go with your eyes," Joe corrects, chuckling. He kisses back, stroking his hands up Nicky's chest, holding him close. "But we can do traffic cone orange, if you'd like." He waggles his eyebrows, his tone mock-smarmy. "Body like yours, any color is a good color, doll."

"I'm okay with that," Joe agrees, happily taking more kisses. "You have my full cooperation to prove that point any way you'd like, Nico." His hands stroke back down to Nicky's hips, tightening. "Should I be possessive in return?"

"I would be glad to match," he assures with an easy smile, thinking of blues and greens and probably not wearing any underwear beneath the shorts, so he doesn't have to ruin the look of them.

Nicky exhales at the hands on his chest, thinking that they should keep moving, to somewhere more comfortable than a wall, but he's not really in the mood to go anywhere. "And what does being possessive on you look like?" he asks, because it's only polite to ask in return.

Meanwhile Joe is thinking about wrapping his arms around Nicky while he's wearing the shorts, and just slipping both his hands in the back to grab his ass. It's a nice thought.

"Well," Joe drawls, pushing against Nicky so he can swap their positions, pressing him up against the wall instead, a little harder. "At the gym you said the second part of my workout should involve pressing your weight up a wall." He kisses up Nicky's jaw and down the side of his neck. "You know me, I'm always willing to exercise."
