Nicky knows he has a list of them as well, and he'd be happy to list them all for Joe to judge, but he's too sleepy and worn and sated to do that right now. Instead, he tightens his hold on Joe, wrapping his arms snugly around his waist as he burrows in.
"Then let's be charming together and fall asleep," he suggests. "We both could use the rest."
Joe will let Nicky get away with that because he's very warm and very content too, and not at all inclined to start an argument. He strokes his fingers through Nicky's hair, humming in agreement. "We can talk about our many flaws tomorrow." He stifles a yawn, kissing Nicky's bare shoulder.
"And you should tell me about your book, too. I need inspiration for the cover," he adds, closing his eyes and settling against Nicky.
Nicky's smile is sweet and soft and genuine, because of course Joe knows exactly what to talk to him about. "Maybe if you ask nicely enough, I'll even let you sneak a peek at some of the first draft," he promises, tangling his fingers in Joe's hair to hold onto, like a security blanket.
"Buona notte, bello," he murmurs, with a last kiss to Joe's neck, breathing out in relief as he knows he'll be safe.
"I'll ask very nicely," Joe agrees, smiling back. "You know me, I'm a nice man." He hums when Nicky's fingers slip through his hair, pleased. "I'm mostly interested in reading the spicy parts though, I must say," he teases, sleepily.
"Buona notte," he returns, gently stroking up and down Nicky's spine as he settles to sleep, warm and content.
